| Cardiff based TV Production Company looking for your help
March 2007. Green Bay Media, an independent television company based in Cardiff, would like your help! We’re developing a programme proposal for Channel 4 television on problem rats. The thrust of the programme is the dramatically increasing population numbers of rats throughout the UK and the potential threats and problems these rats pose. We’re interested in their biology, how the rats breed so quickly, their social structure and their apparently innate ability to avoid
poisons. We’d like to find out the personal opinions of pest technicians around the country – have you noticed a change in the numbers of rats in your area? Or a change in their behaviour or biology? Are they bigger, tougher to exterminate, do you have to employ increasingly ingenious methods to get rid of them?
We’d also like to hear from individuals and families that have suffered/are suffering from rat infestations in their home or work place. How is it affecting your life? Is your local council helping you?
And finally, if you have any fascinating facts, know of any new research, or simply have a quirky rat story to share, please do get in touch! The program is going to look at rats on a global scale, so stories don’t have to be UK based.
Any help is gratefully appreciated, and you can either write to me at
