Theme for the day
“Are you at the Cutting Edge?”
The latest developments in the Industry

The programme of presentations will include an update on the latest NPTARodent Survey’, which now includes input from the commercial sector on their observations of rodent activity; Paul Butt, of Natural England will update us on the latest changes in the Legislation and its impact on our work, including a brief report on a recent, significant, Court case against a pest controller; independent consultant Oliver Madge will explore how new Legislation will impact on ‘Lone Workers’ and how some new technology will help; the emerging pest the Harlequin Ladybird will be introduced to us as well as a presentation on how to make the best use of the Internet.

As a result of the Court case mentioned above, the NPTA will be producing a Code of Practice and other documentation to help pest controllers treat Feral Honey Bees without getting stung …. by the newly formed CRD Enforcement Team, who are now charged with ensuring that pesticides are used properly. Everyone at this presentation will be entitled to a Certificate of Attendance on ‘Feral Bee Awareness’, free of charge. BEE THERE, OR BEEWARE!

These presentations will be interspersed by brief new product updates by our sponsors, Bayer, Bell Labs, AgriSense, Network and Rentokil Products, who will have exhibition stands available throughout the day.

In the afternoon there will be practical break-out sessions and, for those that wish to attend, the day will end with a new NPTA course on ‘Risk Assessments’.

Places are limited, so will be allocated on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis. Only two places per organisation, please.

To book a place please contact the NPTA on 01949 81133.

Members of the NPTA and invited guests of Barrettine will not be charged for the day, with a £20 charge to others to cover the cost of the day’s lunch and refreshments.

As this event is usually oversubscribed, there is a nominal limit of 2 delegates per organisation and places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. We recommend you register your interest as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
