CPD – Continuing Professional Development is the structured maintenance, improvement and broadening of knowledge.
As members will be aware, to retain their PROMPT Register status, they must collect CPD points from the previous year to prove that they are keeping up to date with changes in the industry.
These points can be gained in various ways:
External Training Courses
Health & Safety, Pest Control, Rodent Control any training course can attract CPD points, a copy of the certificate would be required – please contact the CPD hotline on 01335 301311
Magazines and subscriptions
NPTA Newsletter, Pest Magazine, Pest Control News – if there are others that you subscribe to then please contact the CPD hotline 01335 301311 and we can allocate points to this for you.
On-line learning
Pest tests, BPCA, Health & Safety training – any others you have done – please contact the CPD hotline on 01335 301311
Toolbox talks, in-house meetings/ technical updates
Weekly toolbox talks, in-house meetings or training courses etc. can gain points – we just need the content and length of meeting to be able to allocate the points – please contact the CPD hotline on 01335 301311
Industry related memberships
NPTA, BPCA, CIEH, British Deer Society, CEPA – to name but a few – if there are others, please let us know.
Exhibitions and Events
Attendance at seminars, breakfast meetings and large exhibitions such as PestTech, PPC Live, PestEx are also awarded CPD points. Some have additional points for seminars. If there are any overseas events/exhibitions that you attend, – please contact the CPD hotline on 01335 301311 and let us know and we will happily award points to these for you.
Basically, we are able to allocate CPD points to any professional development that keeps you current with industry innovation.
