EXPLANATORY NOTES TO APPLICATION FORM

BUSINESS AND COMMERCIAL MEMBERS GUIDANCE NOTES
- The NPTA logo is a registered trademark and is solely for the use of NPTA business and commercial members. ONLY membership within one of the four categories known as a Servicing Company, Local Authority, Company or Subscribing, are entitled to use the NPTA logo or imply membership of the Association and ONLY once their membership application has been accepted and all due fees are paid.
- If for any reason membership is cancelled the NPTA logo must be removed from all of your correspondence locations including and not exhaustive – your website, letters, E-mails, Social media, vehicles and anywhere you are displaying it. By signing this membership application you will be agreeing to a monthly penalty charge of one twelfth of your annual membership fee until the logo is removed.
- Pest Control Servicing Companies should carry Public Liability Insurance to the value of 2 million pounds and those companies that employ staff should also carry Employers Liability Insurance. Where appropriate, Products Liability Insurance must also be carried.
- Pest Control Servicing Companies are required to submit copies of training certificates for all those carrying out pest control within that company. If no training is submitted, membership will be as a probationary member until such time as the necessary training has been completed.
- The company name submitted on this membership form is the only name that may use the NPTA membership or logo.
- Members with two or more employees shall nominate one representative to receive all correspondence relating to the Association.
- Members shall agree to abide by the Association’s constitution and all that is contained therein.
- Once Servicing membership has been approved you may wish to upgrade to the approved Scheme (known as NPTA Accreditation) you are then required to meet further strict criteria.
- An Accredited member application form needs to be completed by post or e-mail. This is then passed to an auditor who will issue you with a pre-audit pack for you to complete. Competence is checked by the completion of a satisfactory on-site audit of the applicant’s premises, vehicles, paperwork, training and CPD.
- Once the audit has been passed and payment has been made for the upgrade of membership you will be issued with the accredited certificate and logo.
- NB. The NPTA Accredited Logo can only be displayed by members that have a current passed Audit in place and have paid the accreditation yearly membership/Subscription. Displaying the Accredited logo once membership is cancelled attracts a monthly penalty as previously explained in paragraph 2.
- Please also note that applicants wishing to become Accredited members must remain continuous members of the Association for a period of three years. Accredited members are recognized by major supermarket chains, BRC, Red tractor and other auditing bodies as being able to meet the criteria as set out by them in order to carry out Pest control duties at the highest level.
- All Technicians need to be registered in a CRRU approved CPD scheme before Membership is accepted.
- Failure to meet the annual required CPD points may result in cancellation of your membership with the association.
