About Us

The National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) was founded with a clear purpose: to serve pest control technicians and elevate the standards of the industry. Historically, we have focused on ensuring that pest control services are delivered by trained and insured professionals, providing peace of mind for both technicians and their customers.

As we evolve, we are embracing a new vision—one that champions not just pest control professionals, but also the integrity and importance of our industry as a whole. Our commitment now extends to fostering business growth, protecting public health, and advocating for our members at all levels.

Our Mission

At the NPTA, we help potential customers connect with properly trained and insured pest controllers in their area. We conduct audits for those seeking Accredited Member status, providing reassurance to both our members and their clients regarding the highest standards of service.

We actively collaborate with like-minded organizations, including BASIS PROMPT, the BPCA, and the CIEH, to influence government policies on key issues affecting the pest control sector. Our engagement with UK Government Departments and other NGOs ensures that the pest control industry is represented in discussions that impact our field.

In partnership with major manufacturers of pest control products, we keep our members informed about the latest advancements in pest control technology. Our monthly newsletter and website serve as valuable resources for updates and changes within the industry.

Support for Our Members

The NPTA board of directors is composed of dedicated professionals who volunteer their time to support the industry. We offer our members advice and assistance on technical, business, and administrative matters, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.

We host numerous training and social events throughout the year, including the highly anticipated annual PestTech conference and exhibition, which brings together professionals from across the industry to learn, network, and share best practices.
