About Our Board Members

The National Pest Technicians Association is guided by a Board of Directors made up of experienced professionals from across the pest management industry. Board members volunteer their time and expertise to help shape the direction of the association, support its members and promote professional standards within the sector.

The board reflects a broad cross section of the pest control profession. It includes independent pest control business owners, technical specialists, wildlife management professionals, industry suppliers and long standing figures within the sector. This diversity of experience ensures the association remains closely connected to the practical challenges faced by pest control technicians and businesses across the UK.

The origins of the NPTA date back to 1993 when a small group of pest control professionals came together to create an independent voice for technicians working within the industry. From those early beginnings, when the association was first run from the spare bedroom of founding member John Davison, the NPTA has grown into a national organisation representing pest control businesses and technicians across the country.

Today the board works alongside the association’s Chief Executive and staff team to guide the development of training, professional support and industry representation for members.

How the Board Works

The NPTA Board provides oversight and strategic guidance for the association.

Board members are responsible for supporting the long term direction of the organisation, ensuring good governance and representing the interests of members across the UK pest control sector.

The operational management of the association is led by the Chief Executive and staff team, while the Board focuses on strategy, industry insight and ensuring that the organisation continues to deliver value for its members.

All board members volunteer their time and bring their professional experience to support the continued development of the pest control profession.
