The Role
As a Pest Control Technician, you’ll play a vital role in helping our customers maintain safe, compliant, and pest-free environments.
Working independently across your designated area, you’ll carry out inspections, identify pest activity, recommend effective treatment plans, and deliver a range of pest control solutions using both traditional and modern techniques.
From planned maintenance visits to reactive callouts, no two days are the same. You’ll be trusted to deliver high standards of service while acting as a knowledgeable advisor to our customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
Conduct detailed inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
Identify pest activity, infestation levels, and environmental factors contributing to pest issues.
Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to customer needs.
Safely apply insecticides, rodenticides, and other pest control treatments in line with legislation and best practice.
Utilise a range of pest control methods, including traps, proofing solutions, exclusion techniques, and modern pest management technology.
Provide customers with practical advice on pest prevention and property protection.
Explain treatment plans, findings, and recommendations in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
Complete accurate service reports and maintain detailed records using handheld digital devices.
Ensure equipment, vehicles, and pest control products are maintained and used safely.
Conduct follow-up visits and inspections to ensure treatments have been successful.
Adhere to all health and safety requirements, environmental standards, and industry regulations.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience within the pest control industry.
Industry-recognised qualification such as the RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management (or equivalent).
Active membership of either the BPCA Registered Scheme or BASIS PROMPT CPD Scheme since 1 January 2025.
Previous experience in a customer-facing role with a strong focus on customer service.
Full UK Manual Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS Check.
