Our Commitment
The National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) is proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, formally recognising the incredible value that current and former service personnel bring to our country and to our industry.
By signing the Covenant, we pledge to support members of the Armed Forces community and ensure they are treated fairly and given opportunities to thrive. Whether you’re a service leaver exploring your next chapter or a reservist balancing civilian life, pest control offers a rewarding and respected career path and the NPTA is here to help guide the way.
What We’re Doing
We’re taking active steps to make our industry more accessible and welcoming for Armed Forces personnel:
- Working directly with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP)
- Attending CTP job fairs and employment events
- Offering free exhibition space at PestTech for CTP to engage with our industry
- Developing a clear pathway into pest control with practical guidance, mentoring, and training
- Encouraging members to post job averts via the Career Transition Partnership (CTP)
- Supporting members with funding for training in conjunction with manufacturers and distributors who wish to champion veterans in the workplace
