NPTA Approved as a TrustMark Scheme Provider
We are pleased to share that the TrustMark Board has approved the National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) to become a TrustMark Scheme Provider.
This is an important milestone for the association and a positive step in strengthening our role as a quality-focused scheme operator, supporting higher standards, professionalism, and consumer confidence across the pest control sector.
TrustMark is the UK Government-endorsed quality scheme for work carried out in and around the home. Becoming a Scheme Provider enables the NPTA to offer a route for members to achieve TrustMark registration through the NPTA scheme.
Our planned go-live date for the scheme is 1st March 2026.
What does this mean for members?
For members, there will be no immediate change to how you operate or how your membership works.
We will be writing to you all shortly with clear information explaining:
- What TrustMark registration is
- How members can choose to become TrustMark registered through the NPTA, what additional information they need to be aware of and to provide as part of renewal.
(Don’t worry the aim is to integrate this smoothly into existing processes, keeping administration simple and proportionate for all members).
Importantly:
- There will be no additional cost for TrustMark registration for NPTA members.
Who can apply?
From March 2026, all Servicing and Accredited Members will be eligible to apply for TrustMark registration through the NPTA.
We will publish clear guidance outlining:
- Eligibility criteria
- The application process
- How registration will be maintained
No action is required at this stage.
Why are we doing this?
Becoming a TrustMark Scheme Provider supports the NPTA’s wider objectives to:
- Helps to further raise standards across the pest control industry
- Further strengthen professionalism and consistency across the sector
- Strengthen recognition of professional pest controllers
- Provide members with access to a credible, nationally recognised scheme
- Enhance consumer confidence in NPTA members
This forms part of our longer-term ambition to help position pest control as a skilled, professional and respected industry.
We look forward to sharing more details over the coming weeks and ensuring members are fully informed well ahead of the go-live date.
If you have any initial questions, please contact the NPTA office.
