Prepare for the 2027 CRRU Requirements

 

With the changes brought in by CRRU UK to the rodenticide stewardship scheme since Jan 1st 2026 , in order to meet the proof of competency all pest controllers must either:

  • Option 1: Have proof of certification to a CRRU UK approved training course within the past five years, or
  • Option 2: Have proof of certification from an earlier training course combined with current membership in a CRRU UK approved Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme. This option is in line with NPTA membership

In response to these upcoming amendments, we have developed a suite of training courses designed to help you meet your CPD requirements and ensure you remain compliant with the new standards. Whether you are looking to refresh your skills or gain new insights, our courses have been crafted to provide you with the knowledge and practical expertise necessary to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape.

Our comprehensive training modules not only cover the essential updates to stewardship practices but also provide detailed guidance on critical areas such as environmental risk assessments and burrow baiting. By engaging with our CRRU courses and completing three of them you can be confident that you are fully prepared to have met the requirements for 2027. If you are new to a CRRU UK approved CPD scheme, it is particularly important to join in 2026 and complete the required membership criteria well in advance.

OUR COURSES

1. Stewardship Update – 2025: Strengthening Measures and Code of Best Practice Update

2. Environmental Risk Assessments

3. Direct Bait Application In Burrows

4. CRRU Wildlife Exposure to Rodenticides (Feb 2026)

Understand the latest findings on wildlife exposure to rodenticides and what they mean for pest control professionals.
This session explores monitoring data, environmental considerations, and practical steps to minimise risk while maintaining effective control.

5. CRRU Resistance to Anticoagulant Rodenticides in Rats & Mice (Feb 2026)

Explore the current status of rodenticide resistance in rat and mouse populations across the UK.
Learn how resistance develops, how it affects control strategies, and what pest professionals can do to manage it effectively.

6. CRRU Permanent Baiting Update (Feb 2026)

Keep updated on changes in rodenticide use having an impact on permanent baiting, including where certain actives can and cannot be used, the situations in which permanent baiting may still be used, the products that can be used and the precautions necessary when  employed.

CPD Points Registration Process

In order to earn CPD points for each course, you will need to take an online quiz for each individual course , also available in the Webinars section of our Member Corner. If you are successful in answering at least 75% of the questions correctly, you will receive a confirmation email and the NPTA office will register your CPD points with your CPD provider.
