The Bat Crime Tactical Delivery Group (TDG) brings together expertise from policing, the crown prosecution service, Local Planning authorities and bat conservation to name but a few, who help reduce bat-related offences across the UK.
The Group works collaboratively with key stakeholders to raise awareness, promote prevention, share intelligence and expertise, and support effective investigation of offences involving bats and their roosts.
At Pest Tech 2026, visitors can meet representatives of the TDG and learn more about the practical challenges surrounding bat crime, legal protection, development and pest management conflicts with the species.
The stand will be staffed by Sgt Brett Worthington, Avon and Somerset Police; Ian Guildford, National Wildlife Crime Unit; and Mark Goulding, Wildlife Crime Project Officer, Bat Conservation Trust.
Together, they bring extensive experience in wildlife crime investigation, intelligence, enforcement and bat conservation, and will be available to discuss best practice and how industry professionals can help prevent bat crime.

Demands of consumers for high quality and safe food mean that there is a need for ever higher standards in all stages of food production. This has led to strict quality assurance requirements from buyers, such as supermarkets and food processing companies.
Amongst these requirements is the need for highly effective rodent control, without which rodents will contaminate and destroy food at every stage from the farm to the supermarket shelf.
At the same time, government agencies responsible for the regulation of rodenticides have raised concern that many species of wildlife, such as barn owls, kestrels and red kites, are being accidentally exposed to these products. These agencies have called for better stewardship of rodenticides to prevent wildlife exposure.
The Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU) is a response to that call. Under the banner “Think Wildlife” CRRU promotes best practice and responsible rodent control, thereby protecting wildlife from rodenticide exposure.
The CRRU Code promotes responsible use of rodenticides and Best Practice outlines how rodenticides are to be used to minimise exposure to wildlife.

The RRAG’s aims are to provide information on how to identify and avoid rodenticide resistance and build practical management strategies for use by Professional Pest Management Operators, Regulatory Authorities, Local Authorities and UK Farmers and Growers by:

The RRAG acts a central forum for exchange, interpretation and dissemination of accurate information on the extent and consequences of rodenticide resistance in the UK.
