Professional Futures candidates have
international influence
In October this year the initial 5<25 Professional Futures candidates travelled with Syngenta to the international Parasitec Paris 2025 trade fair, for a chance to further expand their learning.
The Syngenta NPTA 5<25 Professional Futures initiative has been hugely influential in encouraging UK pest businesses to invest in young people and to secure the sustainable future for the industry. Furthermore, it has demonstrated Syngenta commitment and support for its pest control customers.

Now, the success of what has been achieved in the UK is being shared with other Syngenta Professional Pest Management business teams and their customers throughout Europe and across the world.
As well as visiting the world-leading pest event, the 5<25 Professional Futures candidates (pictured above, with Mark Wenman of the NPTA) also took time out to present their experiences to a dedicated Advion® event that brought together European Syngenta business leaders and their pest control customers, representing various countries across Europe.

Syngenta Professional Pest Management Marketing Manager for Europe, Yasin Amanullah (above, second right), explained:
“The pioneering UK initiative to support young people in the pest industry has put strong emphasis on professional training and the importance of investing in their futures.
“The quality of the candidates involved, and what they have achieved through the training, has demonstrated how much individual businesses and the whole industry can benefit from encouraging more young people to make a rewarding long-term career in pest control.
“Principles of the lessons learned from 5<25 Professional Futures and working with the NPTA are directly applicable in many other countries, which we wanted to share.
“The issues of inspiring a young and educated workforce to join the pest control industry and to develop a career is a universal challenge to address.”
“For the candidates, attending Parasitec was an inspiring insight into the international pest control industry and another step on their journey as professionals. It also highlighted the on-going benefit and support from being involved with Syngenta and the NPTA, as the scheme continues to go from strength to strength.”
