CEO UPDATE
As we step into May and the start of a new membership year, it is a great opportunity to reflect on the progress we are making as an association and, more importantly, the direction we are heading together.
I just want to say a huge Thank you to Alex, Donna and Maxine for all the work they have put in over the past 2 months to get us ready for membership renewal – from new certificates, and email invoicing, while balancing training and OTR days the team have worked tirelessly to make it as smooth as possible.
As an association, we continue to see steady growth across the NPTA, with membership increasing from 985 to 1,150 over the past year. Alongside this, we are welcoming new members from across the UK while seeing strong renewal rates from existing members. That continued support is vital. It reinforces our position as an association that represents pest controllers and pest control businesses of all sizes, while staying firmly grounded in the needs of technicians.
I hope those that have received the new membership certificates have found them an improvement and it has been nice seeing some of them displayed on social media. This is a small but important step in strengthening the identity and professionalism of the NPTA, and ensuring that membership is something you are proud to display.
It has also been particularly encouraging to see the continued expansion of our technical team. Welcome back Grahame, further strengthening this area is a key priority for us, as we look to enhance training, support, and technical leadership across the industry. This will play a significant role in the next phase of our development.
Looking ahead, we have some exciting plans taking shape for 2026 and 2027. Our focus remains on delivering meaningful value to members, raising standards across the sector, and continuing to build an association that genuinely represents and supports the industry.
In the more immediate term, our next major focus is PestTech. Planning is already underway, and we are committed to building on the success of last years event to deliver another standout exhibition for the industry. There is a lot to look forward to, and we will be sharing more details in the coming months.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
