One of the key objectives behind the redevelopment of the NPTA website was to create more opportunities for our members to be found by potential customers. The figures suggest that this investment is paying off.

Over the past twelve months, traffic to the NPTA website has grown significantly. In July 2025, the website attracted around 3,300 users per month. Today, we are regularly seeing over 5,000 users per month, with May 2026 recording more than 6,000 active users and over 16,000 page views.

One of the biggest success stories has been our Find a Pest Controller directory.

 

Growing Visibility for Members

Traffic to the directory has increased dramatically over recent months, over doubling since December.

This means that the directory is now attracting more than twice as many visitors as it did just six months ago.

Importantly, these visitors are not simply browsing. The page generated more than 3,000 interactions during May alone, demonstrating that users are actively searching for pest control providers and engaging with member listings.

 

New Pest Search Functionality

As part of our ongoing improvements, we have recently enhanced the directory to make it even easier for customers to find the right pest control company.

Visitors can now search not only by location, but also by the specific pest they require assistance with. This means that someone looking for help with rats, mice, bed bugs, wasps, cockroaches, birds, moles or other pest issues can quickly identify companies that provide those services.

This new functionality improves the user experience while creating more opportunities for specialist pest control businesses to be found.

To ensure your business appears in the relevant search results, we are asking all members to review and update the services they provide within their directory listing.

If your company offers specialist services, wildlife management, bird control, fumigation, bed bug treatments or any other pest-specific work, please ensure these are correctly recorded.

The more accurate your profile, the more opportunities there are for potential customers to find your business when searching the directory.
