NPTA and Syngenta to Reopen the 5<25 Professional Futures Scheme

The NPTA is pleased to announce that, in partnership with Syngenta, we will be reopening the 5<25 Professional Futures Scheme from Monday.

This important initiative is designed to support the development of the next generation of pest control professionals by helping NPTA member companies train team members aged under 25 to achieve the RSPH Level 2 qualification.

Since launching the scheme, we have already seen 15 candidates successfully supported through the programme, helping young professionals gain recognised qualifications and take confident steps forward in their careers within our industry.

Richard Moseley Commented:

The Team at Syngenta are, once again, delighted to be supporting young candidates embarking on a career in pest management, and we are excited to be encouraging the development the next generation of pest professionals.

5<25 Professional Futures has been a fantastic scheme for Syngenta to jointly sponsor with the NPTA, and the quality of the candidates so far has been incredible – they have been a credit to themselves and the organisations that they represent.
We cannot wait to meet the next round of applicants, and look forward to helping them, and their companies, develop and grow with our encouragement and support.

NPTA CEO Kevin Lawrenson commented:

“We are incredibly proud of the positive impact the 5<25 scheme has already had across the industry. Supporting 15 candidates through their Level 2 qualification is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates what can be accomplished when organisations work together to invest in the future of pest control.
Developing new talent is essential for the long-term strength and professionalism of our sector. By helping young technicians gain recognised qualifications early in their careers, we are building confidence, competence and pride in the profession.
We are delighted to be reopening the scheme with Syngenta and I personaly thank them for their continued support of this important initiative.
I am very much looking forward to meeting the next group of candidates and watching as their careers in the industry begin.”

The scheme forms part of a shared commitment between the NPTA and Syngenta to:

  • Encourage new talent into the pest control industry
  • Support professional development at an early career stage
  • Help employers invest in the future of their workforce
  • Raise standards across the sector

If you are an NPTA member and employ someone aged under 25 who would benefit from support in achieving the RSPH Level 2 qualification, keep an eye out for further details when applications open on Monday.
