NameDatBug Launches AI Pest Identification Platform for Pest Management Professionals
NameDatBug has launched a new AI-powered pest identification and management platform, designed specifically to support pest management professionals in the field.
The mobile app allows users to upload a photo or enter the name of a target pest and receive a species identification, confidence score and treatment guidance within seconds. The platform includes Integrated Pest Management protocols for more than 700 species, alongside pest risk assessments and species information covering life cycle, habitat, diagnostic features and behaviour.
A new feature also enables technicians to add field notes directly within the app and email themselves a detailed report, including the identification, confidence score, risk assessment and treatment recommendations. This can support job records, customer reporting and follow-up service documentation.
NameDatBug has been developed by industry professionals Adam Holt and Rob Fryer, with the aim of giving technicians access to fast, practical and evidence-based pest identification support while on site.
The platform is also available for white-label licensing, allowing pest management companies to use NameDatBug’s identification engine and risk assessments alongside their own company-specific IPM protocols under their own brand.
