New Venue and Training Course Updates for 2026
We are pleased to share several important updates to the NPTA training programme for 2026, all designed to further support pest control professionals with high-quality, practical learning opportunities.
A new Insect Control Refresher course has been added to the NPTA training calendar, responding to the ongoing need for technicians to keep their knowledge current in an evolving regulatory and product landscape. The course is designed to reinforce core principles while providing practical updates that can be applied immediately in the field.
Covering insect biology, insecticidal product groups, application methods, personal protective equipment, and key COSHH considerations, the course supports technicians in delivering safer, more effective treatments. It is particularly suited to experienced technicians looking to refresh their understanding, as well as those seeking greater confidence in product selection, application techniques, and compliance with best practice.

In addition, the NPTA Bed Bug Control course has been enhanced for 2026 and now incorporates heat treatment techniques alongside existing content. The updated course continues to cover bed bug biology and chemical control methods, while also including practical demonstrations using industry-standard heat treatment equipment. This enhancement reflects the growing role of heat treatments within professional bed bug management and provides delegates with a broader range of effective control options.

We have also secured a new training venue in the South West of England, conveniently located near the M5/M4 junction on the outskirts of Bristol. This new location improves access for technicians based in South Wales and the south-west of England, supporting greater attendance at face-to-face training events.
The 2026 training calendar is now live on the NPTA website, with full details of courses, dates, and locations. We encourage members to review the calendar and book early to secure their preferred session.
