Job Description

Summary:
We are looking for a Pest Control Technician to join our service team based in , Ilford/East London who will be responsible for carrying out pest control inspection and treatments in commercial, domestic and public premises.
Key Responsibilities:
To complete routine inspections at contract sites, including pubs, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, office blocks etc.
To write treatment reports for each client at the end of each inspection, advising on work carried out and including recommendations for ways in which the client can help to avoid further pest problems.
To attend emergency call outs for pest infestations and complete treatments as necessary
To carry out follow-up visits at sites with ongoing pest problems.
To manage your diary to ensure all scheduled visits and appointments are completed in a timely manner.
To record details of the work you have carried out on your timesheet and contract cards.
To assist with service work in neighbouring regional areas to support a colleague when necessary (this may occasionally involve an overnight stay in bed and breakfast).
To complete pest control inspections at local authority properties to the agreed procedure.
To identify new business opportunities and pass them onto the sales team (this process will also generate commission for yourself).
To service Electronic Fly Killers.
To undertake minor proofing work to restrict pest access.
To complete risk assessments and work to set procedures.
To assist the Bird Control team with cleaning and proofing works.
To maintain stock levels within your vehicle.
To undertake pigeon shoots using a .22 air rifle
To provide emergency weekend cover according to rota (currently 6 weekends per annum)
To revise for and pass both internal and external pest control tests, some of which will be in your own time.
To complete occasional ‘filthy and verminous’ clearance jobs
Required Qualifications/Experience
Hold a full driving license with the ability to read and follow a map (we cannot consider applicants without a full licence)
The ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
RSPH2 in Pest Management
A comprehensive grasp on the English Language both written and spoken
An Analytical outlook with problem solving abilities
A meticulous eye for detail with pride taken in completed work
The Ability to work to set procedures and follow instructions
Enthusiastic, positive, personable with a desire to learn and excel in the position
Must be confident working at height in confined spaces
Required Skills/Qualities
RSPH L2 is a requirement, however a L3 qualification would be advantageous.
