Description
West Kent Housing Association is seeking long-term pest control service provider(s), for the treatment of statutory pest infestations relating to:
Lot 1: insects (eg cockroaches and wasps), rodents (eg rats, squirrels, and mice) and similar pests.
Lot 2: birds including pigeons.
Removal of bees’ nests is specifically excluded from this procurement.
The initial contract term will be 5-years, incorporating a break clause for both no-fault and breach of contract, with the provision for extension for up to 3-years performance depending.
The form of contract will be West Kent’s own Services Agreement, with embedded data processing agreement and supplemental schedules.

Lot constraints
Description of how multiple lots may be awarded:
Each Lot will be separately awarded to a maximum of one supplier.
Should the successful supplier for Lot 1 and Lot 2 be different, separate contracts will be entered into with each supplier.
Should one supplier be awarded the contract for both Lots, they will be combined into one single contract for the full scope of services.
Both Lots will be subject to the same tender process and evaluation criteria.

Insects (eg cockroaches and wasps), rodents (eg rats, squirrels, and mice) and similar pests.

- £720,000 including VAT

- 21 September 2026 to 20 September 2031
- Possible extension to 20 September 2034

Description of possible extension:
Extensions may be awarded at the sole discretion of West Kent, supplier performance and compliance with contract terms depending. They are permitted up to a maximum total of 3 years, likely on an annual basis, notice period by mutual agreement.

Lot 2. Birds including pigeons
Description
Removal of bird nests and guano and provision of netting or similar to prevent re-occurrence

- Possible extension to 20 September 2034

Extensions to be awarded in accordance with the circumstances set out for Lot 1.
