JOB ADVERT COPYWRITING & RECRUITMENT SUPPORT
One of the biggest challenges in recruitment is attracting applicants at all. In an increasingly competitive market, this depends heavily on having a job advert that engages the reader, explains the opportunity clearly, and presents pest control as a skilled and rewarding career.
Through its work around attracting talent into the sector, the National Pest Technicians Association has recognised that attracting the right people is one of the most widespread and challenging issues facing pest control businesses today.
Feedback from members consistently shows that while many employers are experts in pest control, writing job adverts that genuinely engage both active and passive jobseekers is a very different skill. Well written adverts that clearly communicate the value of the role and the wider career opportunities within pest control consistently attract stronger, more relevant candidates.
To support members with this challenge, the NPTA has retained, on a pro bono basis, the specialist Pest Control Job Advert Copywriting and Job Advert Copywriting Training services of George Jolliffe of G&L Recruitment Consultants.
George is a degree educated Pest Control Talent Acquisition Consultant and expert job advertising copywriter with over 13 years’ experience. He is passionate about improving public perception of the pest control industry and wants to help members present their vacancies in a way that tells the story of why pest control is a skilled, professional and rewarding career.
Through this initiative, NPTA members can access bespoke, professional grade job advert copy and or practical training on how to write effective adverts themselves. There is no obligation attached, and members are free to place their adverts wherever they choose.
This service is available at no cost to NPTA members. Capacity is currently limited to two members per week for the remainder of 2026, with requests handled on a first come, first served basis. Members interested in taking advantage of this support should contact the NPTA to register their interest.
