RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management
The Nurture Training Academy runs RSPH L2 Award in Pest Management training for Nurture Pest Control staff. There are usually some spaces on these courses that Nurture are offering to other pest controllers at a discounted rate. The courses are split into the three separate 2-day modules, with each module held in different weeks, which allows for more effective learning. The exam for each module is held directly at the end of each 2-days of training.
The course contents have been designed by respected trainer and NPTA Director Grahame Turner, with the presentations illustrated with apt photographs from Grahame’s extensive photo library. The courses are presented by Grahame himself and/or his Technical Trainer Adam Finch.

RSPH LEVEL 3 AWARD IN PEST MANAGEMENT
This prestigious qualification demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in urban pest management. It involves two days of classroom training that delve into some advanced pest control techniques, along with safety, legislation, environment and customer liaison.
Between the two training days you need to complete four major assignments (two on rodent management and two on invertebrate management). The second training day and 2½ hr exam are arranged after completion of the assignments. In-depth support is provided by the Nurture Pest Training Academy for the assignments.
Course Fee £700 + VAT (includes 2 classroom training days, food, exam, and assignment support).

Two-Day Field Biologist Training
Nurture Pest Control Training Academy offers a Field Biologist training course that extends over 2 full days (with a gap between for self-study). The course covers:
- Identification of Insect Pests of the Food Industry
- Pest Risk Assessments
- Trending Analysis
- FB Report Writing
- Audit Standards
- Food Industry Pest Management
This course is designed to prepare you for the FB exam.

NPTA Certified Field Biologist Assessment
The NPTA offers a Certified Field Biologist assessment in line with this training, with the following components.
Pre-requisites
- RSPH L2 Award/Certificate in Pest Management or equivalent (ideally L3 Award in Pest Management),
- L2 Award in Health & Safety
- L3 Award in Food Safety
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Urban Pest management
Exam Structure
Comprising the following sections:
- Insect identification (scientific names required)
- Long answer question on data analysis and trending
- Long answer question on pest risk assessments
- Short answer questions
- Five biologist type reports that you have completed on customer sites.
- Oral exam
