PestTech 2025 In Review

‘Buzzing’. ‘Informative’. ‘Energetic’. ‘Positive’. ‘Crazy’. ‘Upbeat’: Just six adjectives used to describe the biggest and busiest PestTech of all time.

The numbers for PestTech 2025 in Milton Keynes speak for themselves…

  • 1,400 in attendance, up by 200 year-on-year.
  • Over 85 stands, up by 10 year-on-year.
  • 15 seminars delivered, over two floors.
  • 10 CPD points available, for the first time.
  • 100% of exhibitors said they would recommend to others in the industry.

As the NPTA strives to improve and enhance the PestTech experience every year, the challenge becomes naturally harder and harder.

Yet 2025 delivered in style, guided by CEO Kevin Lawrenson and our incredible supporters.

Eye-catching highlights included the Office Lockdown escape room – supported by Pelsis – and Killgerm’s fantastic In The Mix cocktail-making sessions.

We were incredibly proud of the first PestTech Café, giving visitors not only a free coffee – paid for by our supporters – but more importantly a space to talk, be it about work, family, football or, crucially, mental health.

“It’s been really good,” said Kevin. “From the moment the doors opened it’s been a constant flow all day and the feedback we’ve had from people on the stands is that they have been constantly busy.

“It’s been crazy. We promised fireworks for the 5th of November and we’ve delivered actual fireworks in the shape of Killgerm’s cocktail classes.”

Speaking about the effort to keep the event fresh and evolving, Kevin added: “There’s been so much going on.

“We’ve had two seminar spaces this year, we’ve had the escape room which is new, we’ve had the In The Mix cocktail classes, and it’s been by far and away the biggest attendance we’ve had so far.

“We’re up over 200 on last year and had more exhibitors as well.

“It’s just been crazy, but the feedback from both delegates and exhibitors has been brilliant. That feedback also includes the fact it’s not just the normal, usual stands but that there are new stands and completely different things to see or do.

“Exhibitors have said how busy their stands have been and how much discussion they’ve had over their services and products.

“Other highlights have been the mental health features such as Anna Mollins’ seminar and the PestTech Café, which has gone down a real storm with lots of people drinking the free coffee paid for by our many supporters.

“Of course, none of this is possible without  the main event supporters so I’d like to thank Killgerm, Pelsis, Syngenta, Lodi and Opti-Catch, who have been right behind this event from day dot this year. Who knows what we’ll do next year but we have got to top this one somehow. We’ll find a way!”

Fotolec sales director Jasmin Emmerson was among those who highlighted the buzz in the Marshall Arena.

She said: “It’s been brilliant – definitely the best PestTech yet! A huge turn-out, loads of people here and a really good, positive environment.

“Everyone’s really pleased to see each other and catch up, and look at all the new products in the industry.

“There’s definitely a buzz about the place this year – there always is – but it definitely feels like it’s got a fresh vibe to it this year.”

Richard Moseley of Syngenta concurred: “It’s been really, really good. Really busy, lots of great communication.

“We’ve been part of the CPD trail, so that’s brought different people to the stand who we don’t usually speak to. So all in all, it’s been a really good event and we’ve really enjoyed it.

“We’ve had some really good conversations with some really interesting people who have got a genuine interest and love for the industry.”

Killgerm’s Avril Turner also praised the new elements.

“It’s had a different vibe about it this year, more energetic and everybody seems really upbeat,” she said. “There have been some really good additions.

“The extra bits, such as the cocktails and the escape room, have made it even better this year. Plus there’s more seminars with them being on both floors. All those things have added to the vibe of it.”

Tony Knight of Lodi UK said their stand was as popular as ever.

“It’s been a great day! We’ve been really busy; people have been coming over to look at the products, and people getting their points. At certain points I couldn’t even get back to the stand because it was so busy.

“People come to us because we’re fun and we’re lively and yes, we’ve got beers, which obviously helps. But it’s a great stand and we like to have fun!”

PelsisJohn Stewart heaped praise on colleague Sophie Thorogood: “The escape room was my colleague Sophie’s brainchild and that was really popular.

“The whole event has been fantastic. Great. Meeting up with old colleagues from the past, meeting up with customers and showing them all of our innovative products…it’s been excellent.”

Meanwhile, feedback gathered from visitors included:

  • “It’s almost perfect. Best event of the year.”
  • “It is an excellent event. Can’t really ask for more.”
  • “A fantastic day, well laid-out floor and a good variety of industry stalls.”
  • “Very good show, excellent idea to have extra CDP points available overall thank you for a really good show, lots of work for you all.”
  • “It’s been really good, really informative. It’s always good to see the new products and the seminars have been great. It’s been a brilliant day.”
  • “It’s been great, it’s a chance to learn some new techniques and things like that. You always want to know what’s new on the market and it’s good to see what products are new and improved.”
