TrustMark and the NPTA

NPTA became a TrustMark Scheme Provider in 2025, giving pest control professionals a clear, recognised route to demonstrate their commitment to quality through the UK Government-endorsed TrustMark Quality Scheme.

TrustMark exists to raise standards across trades working in and around the home. By partnering with TrustMark, we’re strengthening professionalism across the pest management sector and giving homeowners confidence that they are choosing a competent, trusted business.

What TrustMark Means for Pest Controllers

Businesses registered with TrustMark through the NPTA commit to:

  • Working to recognised technical and safety standards
  • Following transparent and fair trading practices
  • Providing good customer service from first contact to completion
  • Engaging with NPTA’s audit and surveillance requirements

This structure protects customers and gives pest controllers a nationally recognised badge of professionalism.

Why NPTA Works With TrustMark

Pest controllers told us they wanted a way to stand out from unregulated businesses and build trust with customers. TrustMark supports that by offering:

  • A Government-endorsed badge of quality
  • A searchable directory used by hundreds of thousands of homeowners each year
  • Access to an independent ombudsman if things go wrong
  • Eligibility for Trading Standards Approved status
  • A business portal to promote your services and showcase your work
  • Customer-friendly guidance and industry-recognised support materials

This partnership strengthens NPTA’s mission to champion high standards and support the growth and reputation of the pest control profession.
